I'm Growing!

Last weekend, relatives came to visit and Connor got to meet his Aunties and Uncles for the first time.

So Connor went to his 2 week checkup on Monday. Connor was supposed to be back up to his birth weight by two weeks of age. He weighed in at just under 8 pounds and he measured in at 22 1/4". So not only is he putting on weight really well, but he seems to be growing longer, too! We still can't wait to see if he'll be built more like Lorna or me.

Lorna's mom went home on Thursday morning, so now we're on our own. I have to admit that since I went back to work on Monday, I have it really easy. Lorna does all the tough work. She gets up at the littlest peep out of Connor, but I don't even hardly hear him or even notice that she has gotten up to feed and change him. We always thought that we would be heavy sleepers and that our kid would have to wail to get us up. I guess Lorna's motherly instinct has really kicked in since she awakens at any sound from Connor. I guess that portion of the fatherly instinct just doesn't really exist with me.
