Turning One

I can't believe that it's already been a year. I've done so much in my first year. I've already been to 10 different states and gone on 6 different plane trips! Mommy and Daddy hope that I like to travel as much as they do. I've been to Hawaii to visit relatives twice, and am looking forward to my first Christmas and New Years, although I'm not really looking forward to the loud fire works. Loud and sudden noises scare me. I had my first medical problem at 6 weeks with my gall bladder stones. Hopefully it was my last until I'm very old. I'm a great sleeper. Mommy and Daddy hope I keep it up. I Love my soft and silky blankets. I get to eat pretty much anything I can chew. Mommy and Daddy try to feed me all kinds of food of which I've eaten pretty much everything. Luckily, I have no food allergies so far. I love things with buttons, especially remote controls and cell phones, but any other electronic gadget or appliance will work for me as well.

Here I am on my actual birthday celebrating at home, and sporting my classic pose with my thumb in my mouth.
And of course we had a big party with a lot of friends and family in attendance. We had a big cake for everyone...

and I had one for myself. I wasn't really sure what to make of it. Could I just play with it? It was weird feeling. Eventually mommy got some in to my mouth, but I still wasn't sure. Hey, it's sweet, but I'm really allowed to eat this stuff?
